<P>12th Annual DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL kicks off with a GALA Opening Night on Sept 27th at 7pm. This evening features outstanding performances by Isabel Gotzkowsky and Import/Export Tanz (Berlin), CELLI CONTEMPORARY BALLET (Italy), Thomas/Ortiz Dance, Heidi Latsky Dance, MADboots dance co., and WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company. An after-party will feature a scrumptious dinner, delicious drinks, and energizing music! Tickets starting at $100, and $80(20% off) for <B>Korean Culture Service Members use code<I> KCSNYC</I></B>. Proceeds raised will enable WHITE WAVE to present and promote rising dance-makers for the 2012/13 Season. <A href="http://www.whitwavedance.com/" target=_blank><U><FONT color=#0066cc>http://www.whitwavedance.com</FONT></U></A><BR><BR>The DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL weekend Sept 28th – 30th will include brilliant performances by companies that are either from Korea or are led by Korean expatriates: <I>KIM, Sung-Yong Dance Company Moo-e (Korea); UnProject/Unjin Kim; Nary Dance Project /EunHwa Shin and, WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company</I>. A total of 114 companies with over 400 performing artists from around the world converge on DUMBO with performances at WHITE WAVE, 25 Jay Street, and all over Brooklyn Bridge Park including the Grand Finale Sept 30th 6:30pm at the Fulton Ferry Landing. Weekend performances free to the public with donations encouraged. <BR><BR>The excitement continues this fall with the WAVE RISING SERIES Oct 17th – Nov 4th. The Series functions as a New York City Season for artists who may not have the time or resources to produce a full event on their own. Rising dance-makers share bills with eminent artists. The three week series presents works by 25 choreographers/companies in six programs curated by Artistic Director Young Soon Kim. The 7th Annual Wave Rising Series will feature 2 of Korea’s leading groups in the contemporary dance field –<I>Lee, Hwasuk Dance Project and Sun Heon Dance Company</I>.
