ROLE OVERVIEW

As part of EBIN NEW YORK’s Product Development team, you will support/lead the development and launch of innovative and high-quality K-beauty products, particulartly within the Lash, Nail, and Beauty Accessories categories. Your leadership, scientific expertise, and project management skills will be instrumental in bringing new concepts to life, ensuring product efficacy, and maintaining regulatory compliance. This position will collaborate closely with the Marketing, Design, Logistics, Sales Planning, and National Sales teams, as well as third-party partners and agencies, to develop and execute new initiatives that drive revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES

   Product Development

• • Support/Lead the development and launch of beauty accessory products, including lashes, nails, and general beauty merchandise
• • Apply practical expertise from a professional background to K-Beauty categories, including skincare products, cosmetics, and beauty accessories.

   Formulation and Testing

• • Develop innovative product formulations, focusing on ingredient compatibility, stability, and sensory attributes.
• • Manage testing for product safety and implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity.

   Regulatory Compliance

• • Ensure all products meet legal and regulatory guidelines, including ingredient and labeling requirements.
• • Stay informed on product IP industry standards and emerging trends to drive the development of innovative K-beauty products.

   Innovation and Market Trends

• • Monitor and analyze market/consumer trends and competitor offerings for product differentiation.

   Project Management

• • Track all projects, partnering with development for the most recent deadlines and following up with all cross-functional teams on tasks they are responsible for.

   Vendor and Supplier Management

• • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external suppliers, laboratories, and manufacturers for raw materials, testing, and contract manufacturing.

   Cross-functional Collaboration

• • Work with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure smooth product transitions from development to production.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Biochemistry, Business, Supply Chain, Material Science, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred, but all majors are welcome.

• Prior experience in product development within a consumer-packaged goods company in the cosmetics and k-beauty industry is a plus.

• Strong interest in beauty products, trends, and the K-beauty industry.

• Strong understanding of skin care/cosmetics, ingredient functionality, and formulation techniques.

• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and requirements for cosmetic products.

• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration across departments and with external partners.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for formulation and project management.

• Proficiency in English and Korean required.

*Preference given to those with prior experience in the cosmetics industry.
